Mrs. Amy Bourasseau, Analytical Chemist
Amy Bourasseau is an Analytical Chemist at TTI, with over 16 years of experience in the flavor industry. She joined us in January of 2008, to further expand TTI's analytical capabilities.
Amy obtained her B.S. degree in Chemistry from Penn State University in 1989. She was introduced to the practical applications of analytical techniques, including gas and liquid chromatography, at the National Food Processors Association in Washington, DC.
In 1991, Amy joined Quest International and was responsible for supporting the flavor development group through analytical chemistry analysis. She gathered extensive knowledge of flavor composition and chemistry using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. She also attended flavor training classes given by Jack Rothenhoefer (TTI's Senior Flavorist).
Amy then continued her career in the flavor industry, working for Perlarom Technology and Flavor & Fragrance Specialties. During that time, she designed two new Quality Control/Analytical laboratories and was promoted to department management positions. She has continued to develop her analytical and sensory capabilities, and her understanding of flavor chemistry.
Amy is a member of the Maryland Institute of Food Technologists. She volunteers at a wildlife sanctuary on weekends. Her husband, Marcel works part time on feature films. They enjoy traveling and movies.
